I’m not afraid to admit I’m terrified of scary movies — and no matter how old I get, I know nothing will ever change that. But as frightening as they may be, sometimes I can’t help but join the horror-movie buffs in my life for a good old Halloween flick. Thankfully, in honor of spooky season, Prime Video dropped a hilariously clever hoodie designed for scaredy-cats like me.
Aptly named the Terror Tamer, the glow-in-the-dark skeleton sweatshirt appears to be cozy, Halloween-themed loungewear at first glance. Yet it actually comes with some genius built-in features, like an eye mask that flips down to cover your eyes and an adjustable hood to cover your ears. There’s also a lined pouch made specifically for storing movie snacks like popcorn and candy, as well as a pocket for your remote and phone. That’s a lot of multitasking while watching a movie, though the eye and ear covers definitely offer peace of mind.
The sweater was created in response to a Prime Video survey that found almost 75 percent of Americans “can’t bear” to sit still during scary-movie scenes, and as a result, more than 30 percent cover their eyes to avoid watching.
